+ spell skills on equipment not applying to meta gems

Just noticed this today. Pretty sure it used to work prior to patch 0.4

+ spell skills on all my equipment is not benefiting meta gems (COC and COEA).

I've tried swapping stuff around, so I know its not a weapon swap problem or an item problem. +skill support gems still work fine.

However, the + spell skills is benefiting the skill gems slot into the meta gems.

Not a game changing issue, but pretty sure its not meant to work like that.
