suggestion for improving endgame mapping
|
I feel that endgame mapping doesnt offer a sense of exploration.
During mapping, as new content is discovered it is plainly shown on the map and I do not personally feel a good sense of exploration simply because it is already on the map. I thought of a simple new game mode called forerunning or something. It could be any map on the edge of the existing endgame maps. You could just select it and choose "explore" instead of running it normally, thus starting a new Exploration mode or whatever. At the end of a map, offer a direction of left or right, as if a fork on a path ahead, the map type remaining completely unknown. Choosing a direction would mean you can no longer return to town, and the more times you do it the higher the stacking rewards go. It could also offer a leaderboard for the most done in a row. Crap, its just rifts from d3. Last edited by robbertbobbertson#1477 on Jan 20, 2026, 3:20:50 AM Last bumped on Jan 20, 2026, 3:18:54 AM
