Clearing the way quest passive skill points not awarded

Interlude 2 quest Clearing The way was completed, and no passive points were rewarded. The quest is complete in the log and on screen.

Out of curiosity, have you completed the other quest for the Abominable Yeti boss in the Howling Caves (the third Interlude)?

On their initial release, there were issues with the game swapping the quest completion for the Abominable Yeti fight (Howling Caves in Interlude 3) and the Khari Bazaar boss fight with Akthi, the Final Sting and Anundr, the Sandworm (Interlude 2). I'm wondering if this issue might still be contributing to your problem.


A big source of confusion was the world map mixing up the quest completion between these two objectives. Completing one would appear on the map as having completed the other (even if you had never entered the area).

After defeating the two bosses in the Khari Crossing, returning to speak with Risu in the Khari Bazaar town is supposed to reward you with a Book of Specialisation. I don't recall if her considering this quest complete was impacted by the quest mix-up between the interludes, as I tended to kill the Yeti first.

The Yeti is supposed to drop a quest item (the Icy Tusks) to be turned into Hilda in the Glade town to receive another Book of Specialisation in return.


There were also a number of bug reports filed for not receiving the expected quest item drops from each of these boss fights after the launch of 0.3.

Did you talk to Risu to get the book?

yes I have completed all of these quests also. The quest shows completed in the log and on the map. I'm not sure if I died fighting Akthi, the Final Sting and Anundr, the Sandworm and the quest bugged from there. That's what I'm guessing.
