KNOWLEDGE - How to fix your game and attract people

Greetings fellow developers. You have developed a great game but in early access we still see a few flaws you can fix or at least I would fix to retain a higher customer/player base at least in my experience of gaming and development for well over 40 years. I retired off of gaming stocks so I know how to make people happy AND the company profitable. Win-Win.

Your game touts many fun things to slay and challenge. However the core of your game oddly enough is NOT that... it is crafting and this is the BIGGEST draw. You have a decent enough system except you need to fix a few things to take the power out of the hands of the real money traders and put it back into the 90% of the actual playerbase and here is how:

1. Your crafting omens are far too rare. They need to be as common as exalted orb drops. Your 'gatelock' system prevents nearly 99% of the playerbase obtaining these omens. Why even bother creating something so cool to use... if no one uses it other then people who buy them from 3rd party websites because we all know, you do not need just ONE you need like 10 to 30 to get the outcome you desire! Orb of Homogenic Exaltation was the best item you ever could of made, it allowed the regular player, 90% of your playerbase, to create amazing items and you... removed it due to some streamer saying its too 'good'? Betting that streamer is getting paid from a 3rd party RMT website! Put that back in asap! There is no 'cornering the market' from a select few. You make something so common there IS NO WAY to corner it just like exalted orbs.

2. Hinkora's Lock. I think that is the correct spelling. Amazing item but again, 99.99% of the players will never see nor use it and if they manage by some 'stroke' of luck to get one they will sell it. It needs to ALSO be made super common like exalted orbs. Again great crafting item but if its not easily obtainable well just remove it please.

3. Mirrors of Kalandra. This is good rarity, keep this rare. THIS should be the only item kept at its current drop rate.

4. TeamFarm. Team farming needs to lose its massive rarity of drops. It really is that easy to make 100-300d a hour farming with rarity bots following behind. Just remove the item rarity multipliers for group members but keep the XP. This solves multiple problems and the first being RMT and farmers using bots. There is no incentive now to BOT and thus the problem is removed while people can STILL PLAY AND HAVE FUN AS A GROUP. Boost the xp by 50%/100%/150%/200%/250%/300% for each member added to the group. After all its not the 'loots' they are after but the experience.

5. Vaal temple. Its fun and its a cool concept but way too profitable. Way too easy to set up. It needs a complete overhaul and wipe on massive divine orb farming. Even at 20d a hour its the best in the game and that is too good for something so easy to setup. It needs a complete wipe after 6 temple runs regardless if you kill the queen or not and make it easy to always place a straight path to the queen/architech/royal chamber. This allows for 'good' loots, the queen to be killed because face it no one kills her they just build temple and run run run run run divine divine divine divine... all money driven and no fun driven no challenge.

Now that we solved the crafting issue by allowing more crafting items to be obtained and used by 90% of the playerbase and the teamfarmbot methods to be removed while allowing teams to still be xp driven for those last few points thus removing botting issues AND solving more xp issues we also now solve the temple exploit issue of massive divine printing which is devaluing the currency system badly.

NOW what does all this do to the current 'state of the game' you ask? It shakes things up massively. Any complainers would go QQQQQQ my loots. Guess what? 90% of the players are NOT PLAYING because of this. You got what? 8k on average on a game that had 1 million on launch? Even if you retained say 100k players and even 10% of those SPENT REAL MONEY on the store in game that is a massive profit. You see games are designed to make profit for the company while keeping customers. You lost customers and lots of them. League started with 40k? Down to 8k now? That is 80% loss of potential profit. I would fire anyone who made these horrible changes because you just cost my company large sums of profit. Imagine a item worth 5 USD and its so cool you got 10k players who want to buy it but those 10k players will NOT PLAY because of limited items in game, how much RL cash did you just lose? 50k USD.

You need to make your players happy again. You got hardcore players and that is fine but that is around... 1%. The 9% of the rest are RMT. 90% ARE EXCLUDED.

ALSO STOP LISTENING TO STREAMERS ADVICE. They did not build a company nor a business they are opinions ONLY. They want clicks and views for profit not actual change nor success of this game.

This is early access, a beta of sorts, make the changes, TRY IT and watch your profits soar AND your player base return, not all of them but send the word out to try the new and improved system!

And honestly, level 82 bosses dropping regal shards... Remove regal shards entirely. They're possibly the worst drop in the game.
