Medallion interface in Vaal temple

I was trying to pickup a medallion, realized I was at the cap. I successfully deleted one by clicking on the little red X and picked the new one up.

After this another one dropped, the one that increases you cap. I tried to investigate how to use it by mousing over it and then clicking on it. I did NOT click on the little red X. It was deleted and my cap was not increased. This is more than a touch frustrating. Items like that should either be autoused on pick up or there should be a confirmation before deleting them.
