Variety in farming

A lot of people i've met aren't particularly a fan of azmeri spirits.
I personally quite enjoy the theme and mechanic.
But as a mechanic it is VERY lack luster, only really having 1 chase item and no real way to invest or farm it.
Even if you full spec into Spirits it does nothing to better your odds for the chase item, Rite of Passage. And if you don't hit Rite of Passage, You walk away with nothing.
Something i liked a lot about POE1 was that it felt like you were rewarded to using the majority of your atlas points to farm something very specific.
The reason i started this feedback with Azmeri Spirits is because its one of 5 main Atlas skill tree events.
- Rogue Exiles
- Essences
- Azmeri Spirits
- Strongboxes
- Shrines

While these mechanics aren't necessarily bad, they don't offer enough substance.
One of my biggest gripes with the atlas tree is how vague and unfulfilling it is.
"Increased chance to spawn (X)" Is vague and fake, Because its additive to the base spawn value, so 100% increased chance for a rogue exile to spawn might actually only be 10% total due to (for example) the base value being 5%.

This often leads to a very empty and frustrating farming experience.
Especially when tablets have "+1 additional Rogue Exile/Azmeri Spirit" etc.
Ultimately you would be better off using a tablet with +1 mechanic/event spawn and just speccing your atlas for Rare monsters, Item Rarity or Effect of tablets. All of which you can easily get in the 40 points available.

Essentially the entire current basic atlas tree besides like 2-3 notables is unimportant. (For the 40/40 Tree)
I liked the POE1 atlas setup because it felt like you had a profession, or something you could specialize in, that another person couldn't just "jack of all trades"
Like why am i limited to 8 points into a mechanic i love, Why can't i take 8 out of a mechanic i dislike and put them in one i'll actually play and enjoy?

I understand that POE2 is trying to be quirky and different with a whole makeover visually but, different doesn't always mean better.
I would like to see POE2's Altas tree head in a similar direction as POE1's Atlas tree.
