Some bugs or just an unexpected interaction with poison stacks

I had submitted a support ticket and Toby forwarded it here. I wanted to thank him for his kindness and attention. The text below is the message I sent via email/ticket; if you have any questions, I can try to explain it better.


I just wanted to let you know that something kind of strange is happening with Poison, although I don't want to talk about it xD, because I actually found it quite interesting, but I think it's right to warn you, as it may not be intentional. I'm playing the game in Brazilian Portuguese, so I might get some words and items wrong, but regarding this interaction, it's about poison stacks. The Ascending Poison Gem is giving a +1 limiter, so far so good, but this extra limiter can be obtained several times without it being the skill that applies the poison. For example, I was making a Poison Pathfinder, and at one point I removed this support gem and put it on the weapon's basic attack skill, and put another one in its place. However, I noticed that the maximum number of stacks of Burstarrow Poison continued to apply the stacks, as if it were equipped with the support gem. So I tried putting it on Herald of Blood, and it also worked. And the most "broken" thing is that if you don't put the gem on your main skill that applies the poison... Poison: You don't receive the demerit for the poison duration, so my Burstarrow Poison still has the default 2 seconds.

Is this intentional, or just a bug, or an unwanted interaction?

(ps: I think this happens because something in the code must be identifying that the gem slots for the basic bow attack complement those of the skill.)
