Failed to join instance because: Disconnect from server while in party in temple

Tonight with my duo partner we were doing our temple runs as usual and we like to clear our inventories throughout the run, he is hosting and I am usually able to exit and come back no issue or if the portal is missing in the temple ruins entrance, I can leave and come back to bring it back.

But I ran into the titular issue 3 times in a row, preventing me from returning the temple. Tried everything from relogging, switching characters and back, nothing works. Can't rejoin my buddy and we are screwed out of loot.

It's strange because this was no issue yesterday, and no issue earlier but suddenly and consistently this continued to happen.

Would appreciate any ideas other than never leaving the temple until done.

Also started having this issue tonight. My husband is the party leader and the one opening Temple. I teleported out like usual to dump my inventory (after dying earlier in the instance one time), but when I went to return, the portal entrance back into the Temple was gone.

When I tried to warp to him, I got this error message:
“Error: Failed to join instance because: Disconnected from server.”
