critical constructive feedback: The loudest opinions aren’t always the most valuable.
|
Every once in a while, a community member posts a hot take and an emotionally charged post, voicing their opinion about the game and suggesting what devs should do. Such posts generate significant buzz in the community and spark lengthy discussions. that the sentiment behind them is nothing but positive - players spend time discussing the game because they care about it. Knowing that and seeing the discussions is a surefire way to grab attention. However, more often than not, these issues do not represent the views of the majority of the community. Conclusion: Emotions are important, but they do not always lead you to the best conclusions. If an issue is critical to the community, sentiment will be almost unanimous. This is moddified message from riftbreaker devs about they game that clearly apply here: most loud community is just most toxic community that's can - but also aren't the main target group. Game changed from being poe 2 in core to poe 1: -pace= as the most important thing.. POE 2 was promoted as slower and more methodical. Was toned to the poe 1 pace - and no content will make people who liked poe 2 for being poe 2 will make people return to poe 2 untill it will be poe 2 in it's gameplay pace to that moment game will stay filled with copy of poe 1 community members and end with the same player base numbers +/- few hundrets/thousands of new players - but players who leaved poe 2 will not return in conclusion i please GGG to stop listening to most loud community and think of poe 2 to be more of poe 2 to increase differences between poe 1 and 2 and not tone poe 2 to liking of casual one-button rush builds of poe 1 pace gameplay. as well as my post will remain mostly "negative" in answers as most people just leaved game on your demmand - and community is filled with zoomers, dad gamers who want to progress fast, remove all penalty xp, and make game easier as it's now compared to previous iterations.. GGG needs to nerf players before they feel it necessary to roll out the same frustrating pitfalls PoE 1 has, namely the philosophy where the game must try and 1shot you before you can 1shot it. I want 8k+ ES to be a flex, not the bare minimum on top of max block and some other redundant defense layer.
If we get shit like lightning totem minions, nuclear volatile crags, poison orbs in PoE 2, there's literally no reason to play it over PoE 1. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! Easier than now gonna be trivial to be honest, they better add difficulty option for campaign at this point.
For endgame, difficulty is on waystone mods where 3x extra damage is 1 shot for newbies and some more and no extra damage is doable for the most. You can set your difficulty level according to what build you cooked but if you want top drops you gotta cook well and suffer in the process, not that you cook shit and want to do everything. This forum esp on league launch is a hysteria fest and a river of tears. Even now moves at insane pace, thankfuly noone can reasonably expect them to read and analyze all of that, so maybe the game won't end up as another designed by mob arpg.
