Eternal Youth and Life Recharge Inconsistent interactions.
|
Life Recharge has inconsistent interactions once life is lost. Sometimes when I log in, as long as I am not taking damage to life, life recharge will always be active as long as I am not on full life. This would allow me to cast skills that cost life, and for the life to be recovered by eternal youth very quickly. Other times when I log in using skills that cost life count as taking damage and life recharge does not active until after four seconds. I am not sure which is supposed to occur, however this interaction is inconsistent for some reason, with it flip flopping between these interactions.

By any chance, are you using two weapon sets that result in you having different amounts of energy shield?
Where different weapon sets grant a different total amount of energy shield, I notice that switching between them will result in a recharge delay for energy shield at the point your total ES is reduced. Using a skill on a weapon set that reduces your ES would likewise incur that delay. For example, if I use pounce on my plant druid that is linked to lifetap, I will experience a recharge delay because that weapon set (the talisman) is missing additional ES from my other weapon set (which includes a focus granting energy shield). The delay is not caused by the life cost imposed by lifetap, though it can look like it as this skill caused me to shapeshift and change weapons. Some skills will explicitly say that they do not interrupt recharge for the life loss that they cause (e.g. Demon Form). I also presume that you are not causing this through the direct use of Convalescence, which prevents the further delay of ES recharge for a duration. I had wondered about items like Prayers for Rain that can conditionally prevent recharge delay, but the wiki asserts that this effect will not apply to Life recharge. Other effects may reduce the recharge delay. |
