Lost 1023 exalts?

I just tried to buy an item from a players shop, didnt have the exalts, used Ange in their hideout to trade 3 div at 341 each, for a total of 1023 exalts. It filled my bag, so I used the stash in the players hideout to put 80 exalts in my stash, when I went back to Ange to pick up the item.....all the exalts were gone.
