Season Feedback
|
Have a few more goals for this season, and it's been an absolute blast. Wanted to share my observations of what feels good and what still needs work.
Crafting - Its in a great spot. Feels deterministic enough while leaving enough rng. Looking forward to what's to come. Regarding the incursion crafting specifically, though, I think twice corruption completely destroying the item is a bit too much. Build variety is coming along, but am looking forward to more. It still feels like ultimately, theres only a handful of skills actually worth using (lightning arrow, spark, twister, comet come to mind as some defacto best choices many builds will gravitate towards). Performance - I was under the impression that this season would bring much needed performance improvements. Instead I've had more game crashes than any season yet. A lot of it seems related to apps such as sidekick, poe overlay or to HDR, but not entirely clear. Old mechanics - I'd love to see these touched up. Wisps are still awful. Abyss can be a lot of fun, but amanu voids are obnoxious to deal with and need a cooldown or need to be melee range mobs only. Many abysses still bug out preventing completing all of them, especially in maps with narrow corridors and hallways. Vaal temple - Incredible mechanic! An in game planner would be great maybe? Temple really put into perspective how much everything else about end game needs improved. Temple allows excellent experience gains, great loot payoff for the time investment, and a form of content that you can actually jump into and just enjoying killing monsters non-stop for 15-45 minutes while giving the sense that you actually have a chance of seeing juicy and exciting drops. I really hope temple goes core and doesn't see any massive nerfs, as this has kept me playing much longer than I normally would in a league and I hope it serves as inspiration for the fun that endgame can actually provide. Movement - Nerfs to movement speed and attack speed this season have been a bit too extreme. I do believe in having better limits on these than PoE1 does, but it's been a bit too heavy handed. Let us enjoy adding just a little more zoom at least. Arpgs are far more enjoyable when we can move quickly. I think a baseline is that through gearing and the passive tree, all builds should ideally be able to push at least 100-150% move speed, with 250 being a good upper cap where things start to get too ridiculous. Looking forward to what's to come, keep up the great work GGG! Last bumped on Jan 16, 2026, 2:58:27 AM
