Critical Bug: Missing Skill Socket from Cast On

I’m completely fed up with the Cast On gem bug (missing skill socket). This issue should have been treated as a much higher priority, but I don’t see it mentioned in the latest hotfix at all.

I’ve already sent an email to report this problem, but in the end I was told to go post it on the support forum instead. Is game support only meant for fixing microtransactions or payment-related issues? Because this situation is honestly not funny at all—having to trade skill gems for 90–100 Divine per day is ridiculous.

I’ve gathered the conditions under which this bug usually occurs. In most cases, if a Cast On skill is active, and you:

change or remove equipped gear

change skill passives or Spirit stats

switch between weapon set 1 and 2 do this while inside the Time-Lost Diamond / Spirit

there is a chance that this bug will occur.

I’m not sure if this is related, but I am using 8% increased Spirit Reservation Efficiency of Skills on my helmet, along with a Vaal-modified gem quality

Note: Once this bug happens, the gem can still be sold or used by another player without any issues.

This will be my last gem. If this problem is not urgently fixed, all I can say is D4 > PoE2, and I’ll see you next league—because I’m completely out of patience with this issue.
