Let me start off by saying I love this game and POE 1. Each major patch brings awesome updates and changes that keep me playing longer and longer each season. On that note, there always seems to be something that just pisses me off to no end every season here that makes me quit every league.
Most of my frustrations stem from multiplayer. I love playing this game with friends but boy does it seem like ya'll really don't want us playing together. Here's a list of my gripes specific to multiplayer: - Monster difficulty scaling is waaaay to high in a party. I understand adding health to mobs but they shouldn't really be doing more damage on top of that. I run T16s with a fun level of difficulty and the occasional death when solo. When in a party, I frequently get 1 shot by so many things its impossible to even survive regardless of all my layers of defense. I can't really give specific examples in this because its just so frequent and exceedingly not fun so I just end up rage quitting. - If map host dies, half of the content in a map is just dead. With the permadeath in maps this makes a lot of content worthless. The same can be said for trials. If the host dies, the party cannot finish the trial even if they're on the second to last room. I feel like the instance host should transfer to another random party member if the host dies so content isn't just dead to a random death to an overtuned monster or mechanic. - Hidden monsters (lightless serpents, knight-gaunts) and targeted mechanics (strongbox fireballs) are coded to only emerge when the instance host is nearby. In the case of strongbox fireballs this has led to many deaths in our parties when 600 fireballs are stored up and explode instantly and unexpectedly. Hidden monsters are a common frustration when trying to find that last rare or kill the last mob to allow a strongbox to open. - Please make a shortcut button to warp to guild hideout similar to warping to private hideout on controller (maybe hold L2 + triangle for PS5) - On a separate note, please adjust the auto-fill function on the currency exchange menu. Players are scamming others by placing an absurd trade when there are few so that when someone tried to make a reasonable trade it will auto set the trade ratio and screw over the buyer. I think this can be easily fixed by just adding a button/command to set current trade value in the window instead of having it auto update every 2 seconds. - Expedition splinters need to drop from other places other than just inside logbooks. Outside of the logbooks, Expedition is boring and extremely unrewarding. Please add a chance for splinters from runic mobs and chests. Every season so far Expedition uniques are crazy expensive in trade because the content is not fun or rewarding except to a very small number of people. I'm sure there's more I'm not remembering. Additional stuff I forgot.
- Why revert the unit size of players when dodge rolling? It actually felt good for a little while, now it feels like crap again getting mobbed by a large pack and being completely unable to escape. - Player collision in parties feels like absolute crap. Why is it even a thing? - What happened to heavy stun protection for the first second, or w/e it was, of a sprint? Why am I getting heavy stunned mid dodge roll? |
