Can't leave Temple room

I killed all the enemies (yes checked for invisible enemies), but it won't "complete" so it won't let me leave.

This seems to happen at Synthflesh for me. I've also noticed that there seem to be more enemies that attack through the red field when this happens. I wonder if Synthflesh enemies are spawning in adjacent rooms, and even if you kill them in the other room (which I have), they don't count toward completing the room. Regardless, synthflesh rooms have been where my temples end. Of note, I have a persistent companion. I had 2, but thought maybe the extra was bugging it. Who knows.
