play the private league. not sure what the economy is like over there but it has to be better than this. regular league is completely busted but because its a currency printer for all the sweats its apparently a "successful" league

Update: I've spent over 30 hours on temple and it doesn't drop enough locks for me to develop a chain. I am following clear spymaster guides. The updates continue to punish players who have not already established a temple and it's extremely frustrating.
SIMPLE SOLUTION: NO DESTABILIZING BEFORE YOU HAVE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF ROOMS. |

" Why aren't you complaining to the person who wrote the incorrect guide? It sounds to me as though they were spamming you.
