Question about private leagues on hardcore

Hi,

I and my gaming group have considered if we wanted to start a private league for 1.0 when that eventually arrives.

However, we're at most about 10 players, and are about evenly split between SC and HC.

So the question is two-fold:

What happens to characters who die on private HC league?

And if those characters become unplayable or move to public SC, would it be possible to somehow link a SC and HC private league together so that chars dying on the HC league moved to the SC league? This is because many of our SC players might be interested in trying HC but would move to SC if/when they die.
