request for more skill slots Again

right now I’m using one skill and eight spirit skills.
I don’t have more slots and I don’t want to use unset ring.
I’ve open a topic before, but I have to request this once more:
Spirit skills should not take normal skill slot, at least give us 3~4 skill slots.
And no restriction for spirit skills because we need to spend spirits, and spirits we have are from investment above the basic 100.

Even though I could handle almost all contents just with one skill, doesn't mean I’m a one button player.

But you just said you have 1 active skill? Doesn't that make you a one button player. :P

But yeah, it's an odd restriction in a way when they want to encourage diversity and experimentation. Then again, limitation breeds creativity. I'm pretty neutral, I've wanted more slots several times, could be interesting if it happened. Somewhat doubt it will but who knows.

Sounds like a you problem? Why wouldn't you use unset rings? You are literally the reason why they added those rings. Hardly anyone else uses that base, so you probably can get what you need on them cheaper than any other ring.

I agree on this point. We dont have to resort always to use unset ring to buff our characters when we find decent gear.

Relying on unset rings kinda sucks. Getting an unset ring + good mods on it is more difficult than other options. Other rings implicit benefits are easier to interchange, swapping from a great ruby ring to an amazing topaz ring wont remove part of a builds moveset like relying on an unset.

With the current skill slot pressure it feels like many situational skills get written off. Eg, why would i ever use killing palm to generate charges when I can use profane ritual and support some other skill with cull instead. Or escape moves like frozen lotus when dodge roll exists.


I kinda miss poe1 system where you could have multiple skills linked to the same supports on 1 item.

If they add four more skill slots, you’ll probably ask for four more later. This makes no sense.

It's a design decision, they had to put a limit on this and you not wanting to use unset ring is totally on you.
