I need help, not good build

Up front, this was my build https://pobb.in/z2KRkhgP1AO3 with 185k eHP and ~2m DPS


Alright, so long story short, I have modified a 2.25 season starter theorycraft frost dot build into a couple of leagues and been making it a bit stronger until this season where I am getting stuck.

Past leagues I was happy spending like 1ish div and being like t10+

This league I have been pushing it. I know I am slower than most and missing a lot, but this is the farthest I have come. I just beat my first t17, and holy crap it was a struggle.

I have like maybe 8 div max into my build, but I feel like I am at the end of this path. I like frost, I like occultist/witch, but I just feel like I am not pushing as hard as others can


What pointers do y'all have? I Feel tanky when running up until I suddenly just slapped by a boss and get killed in 1 hit. Lil frustrating, but I get it cuz I am just running block and ES

Not familiar with build but some random stuff, not a proper build advice:

1) If you dont have a Freezing Tulgraft then get one. You may be able to do >2M DPS with this (and debuffs) alone.

2) My halfeducated guess is that Wintertide Brand is now the best cold DoT skill. You are not using it.

3) You simply dont have enough +Skills. You dont even have the +1 to Cold Skill Gems mastery on the passive.

4) Your gear is bad. You have huge potential simply getting better gear.

5) You have 7k ES with no Evasion and almost no Phys mitigation. Its unsurprising if your char gets "randomly" killed occasionally, especially if you dont know/understand the game very well.

If you want (probably cheap but dont play trade league so dont really know) better (more DPS and survival) build then you may want to switch to life based build with a +4 body armour. And likely focus on Wintertide Brand. Its quite possilbe Im missing some way to scale such builds though, better wait if someone more knowledgeable about such builds gives better advice.

NGL, I missed that completely. I got a point from somewhere else that I could sacrifice and got that instead

Yeah, like I said I have only spent a couple div tops. I am working on upgrades, currency has just been slow going for me. I am spending today going over my gear. I do use end charges and have the 10% phy > cold on my chest, plus block is at ~70% for atk and spells. I am looking at options but I don't know if I can keep my ES high and get high evasion or armor at the same time, but I will check it out

I have some build ideas on wintertide, there's a few different options for super high survivability and like ~4million dps, but the problem is most everything is like 30 div+ and I just haven't been able to hit the point of getting that kind of money


Edit: I did nothing more than equip a necklace with +1 cold gems and the passive for +1 and it boosted me to ~2.8m dps in pob https://pobb.in/gyo1WIDtRphU
