Report: PoE Auto Trade Bot
|
My related old post: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3894714
What I found through Google: https://poe-autobuy.ru/ The above shows a demo of how basic the automation works. With this, regular players would never gain any advantage from live searching. And based on my experience, an even more advanced version of this exists — auto teleport, auto purchase, manually fetching API data, and loading with no graphics. It exists 100%. For example: certain items on this trade link always disappear with the same latency — instantly — 24/7: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade2/search/poe2/Fate%20of%20the%20Vaal/zb0WZXwKi4/live. If you guys could investigate this, you definitely should. I’m sure atleast one optimized bot is doing this. For automation trade bot (and mispricing problem): The Asynch trade system currently needs some changes. I suggest that for the first 5 minutes after an item is listed on Ange, it should be locked to everyone except the seller. During that time, the seller should receive notifications about how many people are viewing it — so they can review or dismiss the listing. This would prevent accidental mispricing, uninformed mispricing, and also prevent trading bots like the one mentioned above. This ensures the seller gets what they should. If you think this issue is minor and doesn’t affect players much due to lack of manpower, I’ll just feel sad for both GGG and the players. Encountering bots is not a great experience; players should be able to obtain what they work for without bots interfering. Bots are spreading — any area with bots becomes a dead area that directly affects every player within it. Based on my in game experience. Along with this, I’ve found that there are many other bots and illegal automation tools in PoE: auto-follow bots, map hacking, smoothers, beast readers, etc. There are really, really many, and they’re quite common. TL;DR: Eliminating bots will eventually be unavoidable. I hope GGG will acknowledge this as a high-priority issue. I’m genuinely curious how this will end. Thank you for reading! Why were items bought by trading bots?
This indicates the item's price was far below market value. Therefore, I suggest that the official team immediately change the bidding process for an item when multiple people are simultaneously trying to purchase it; the highest bidder wins. |
