Why do chain explosions and triggers exist in this game if clarity is so important for PoE 2?

Trigger gems and any form of explosions on skills and passives that increase area of effect are just turning this game into PoE 1 at light speed.
Why can players still kill the entire screen without even finishing their skill animations? If this is what GGG wants, why do they even bother maintaining two separate games instead of moving PoE 1 to a different engine? This just doesn’t make any sense. Currently, GGG is letting players abuse screen-killing explosion mechanics and one-skill builds. If they decide to fix this later, there will be a huge outcry from players.
