Offline

My game will not show me as online I have logged out logged in closed the game and relaunched multiple times I cant be invited by anyone because im stuck in offline mode please help

I don't assume that any of the following are the cause of your issue. There are certainly instances of players appearing offline when they were not, and you may be facing a different problem. Many players are also reporting issues with trade very recently, though a week after your original post. I hope that it has resolved for you.



First, I would ask to check that your character is not in a Solo Self Found league (e.g., SSF Fate of the Vaal). You would be unable to party or trade with anyone in an SSF league.

For the sake of asking, I would also ask to confirm that you are indeed in the same league as the other players you are trying to party or trade with (e.g. one player is in Fate of the Vaal and the other in Standard). It is fairly common for players to inadvertently search trade items with a different league selected on the trade site, though I believe the trade site was patched to flag this issue for you if you are not seen as being online in the same league.

In POE1, this would usually result in a different error message, which I thought applied here too but I could not find it in my logs:

Have you noticed having networking issues or frequent lag / latency spikes while playing POE2? It is possible that an unstable network connection might affect your online status, though you might expect to stay online if the game hasn't reported a disconnection. You can activate Performance Metrics in Options - Graphics to display a graph and toggle it to show your latency to the server, in case this has any relevance to your problem.

If you haven't tried connecting to a different regional server when logging in, you might try that as well.



I imagine that you have done so during your troubleshooting, but does travelling to a town make any difference in your ONLINE status? This is likely not your issue, but worth a shot if you haven't explicitly checked this.

In past leagues, I found that logging into hideout or playing actively in hideout could result in me staying offline. HOWEVER, testing this again in 0.4.0d had me appear online when logging directly into hideout on a Standard character, so this may no longer be an issue.



For the purposes of Trade via the trade website, there is an option controlling how you appear to be online on the trade site. By default, it shows you as ONLINE for trades if you are actively logged into a character in the same league as the items you have listed. You can alter this by accessing your Settings page (upper right) when logged into the trade site, choosing to be seen as online only when in the same league (default), as being online in any POE2 league, or as always offline.
