Version 0.4.0 is a truly awful season.

There's 30,000 players in the Second Wind private league -- one of the largest PoE private leagues ever. Maybe you'd be happier there, economic reset as of this morning.
There are more players in the game today than there were yesterday. Usually the player count goes down. People seem to like the season, on the whole. I do. 0.4 SSF: Gemling Minions: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/DistributedAutomaton-5739/character/CrystalController 0.3 SSF: Evasion-only melee challenge character: https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/119e9 Last edited by DistributedAutomaton#5739 on Jan 9, 2026, 8:56:54 PM

The new alliance is pointless.
The economy will collapse in less than a week. Because the temple's mechanics and group drop bonuses haven't been adjusted at all. |

+1 .4 has to be one of the worst league ive play in a long time between both games the economy is such a joke and the flippers/botters make it 100x worse RMT is so rampant they will sit there and nickel and dime a item flipping it between each other till its 10x in one day.
Anyone with a brain and a simple live search on specific unique can see the bot accounts and watch as a item goes from 10 divine to 300 divine in less than 24 hrs because its picked up over and over between several bot accounts being sold and repriced. |

Not to mention i have lost all faith in GGG being able to have a structured game with any kind of guidelines on how the game should be played. The entire Holten situation and no punishments being handed out to what clearly was a abuse of game mechanics is absurd. Anyone who had any sort of integrity got punished for the entire league. GGG is honestly lucky there are no real competitors in the ARPG genre right now or i would walk away in a heart beat.

" People like the league mechanic because it is basically giving them currency for free. It is so funny to think back to week 1 when everyone was bitching about how crap temple was and how underwhelming and convoluted it is. Then all of a sudden it's a money press and "Omg best league ever" lmao. Without the how to guides on temple then majority of the people who "like" the league would be +1'ing the OP post lol cause most of them couldn't figure it out for themselves. I would have no issue with the influx of currency if it were balanced with the other mechanics but currently it does not feel like that is the case, at least with how things are priced VS what you earn in doing those mechanics. Now while everyone has the option to run temple, maybe not everyone wants too? I know that I do not want to do temple. I am not a fan of the concept and while I don't think there is actually anything WRONG with the idea of how the temple works it just does not fit what I play this game for. The idea of having different mechanics is to provide the player with a choice, but if those choices are so biased economically then that is a problem. The league mechanic overshadows what would have otherwise been some major positive changes. The removal of tablets from towers and placed into the map directly was a great change for the current end game system. The changes to monster density seems to have been a good change. Build diversity has seen a huge uptake this season (I think the monster density changes had a large roll to play here), more and more builds are capable of at least clearing T15 juiced maps, just need to get a bigger focus on some skills with single target damage for bossing. Druid as a whole is a very interesting class and has some very usable ascendencies to go with it. The shapeshifting forms are interesting, although still a little buggy with some interactions. I think the disciple is a little underwhelming but the idea is at least interesting they just need to make it easier to set up some of the interactions. " From an SSF prespective: I've gotten what I can from the temple, and now I run it for exp. I still need to run Abyss for Tecrod's, or run Breach for Uul-Netol's. So the temple hasn't changed my game much. 0.4 SSF: Gemling Minions: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/DistributedAutomaton-5739/character/CrystalController

" This is an interesting take seeing as I can see the temple changing SSF significantly with the amount of raw divines that it can drop. If you have 100s of divines then you can just yolo roll on items with the right stats to try and get all T1's, it would make high end gearing much easier. Yes farming specific drops is not going to change and they will actually go up in price in trade league like they have currently (Garukhans Resolve went from 20 div to 100). The problem is that there is still a massive discrepency in the value you get from other league mechanics and general mapping vs juiced temple runs. Even taking into account the time it takes to build a juiced temple. |
