The direction of "meaningful gameplay" is all wrong.

All I'm saying, is that adding more and more and more penalties for death instead of actually balancing combat, animations, and movement is a bad idea. You can die in a 6 mod map and lose delirium shards if it's still going, breach shards for any open breach, all the map stuff, all the waystone stuff, and have to rerun the map. We know this.

The problem is that I die almost exclusively to bad game mechanics. Maybe some of these will feel familiar.

- Click on an enemy 2 inches away from a random chest when there's 50 enemies on screen and it casually tries to walk me over to the chest instead of attacking (WASD movement, click should NEVER move over attack).

- Corrupted mobs spawn literally on all sides of you and instantly body block you on all sides with zero chance to react.

- Constantly get stuck on abyss pits...can't move? Just die.

99% of my deaths are these three things. The other 1% is Geonor's massive damage full-arena slash with zero windup (zero damage mods, and the ONLY non-slam that one-shots me), and the occasional triple-overlap off-screen meteors/lightning strikes from a shrine located forty thousand miles away.

There's the hidden ground shit everywhere, behind terrain, under stuff...blah blah, but I've given up on those ever being improved.

Point being, I never die if I have control of my character and vision of the area around me. I die 10x more on maps with a billion trees, pillars, rocks, etc. I don't think I've died on Savannah since 0.1.

Anyway, done ranting - I don't care about exp or anything, it's just really annoying to lose a billion things to game jank.
