I love this game: General Feedback (played all 4 leagues, did not play first game or other ARPG)
|
Background: Did not play the first game & generally not a fan of ARPG. But, this game has me thoroughly enthralled & the development is very exciting. I’ve spent a shameful amount of hours on all 4 leagues combined. I play SSF, or sometimes “soft SSF” allowing for some currency exchange use
Vaal Ruins • Overall, I enjoy this mechanic, there should be more things to do between mapping like this! • Modified limbs room bosses can’t seem to ever hit me at all, bug? • Add fountain, identify and disenchant npc to entrance • Feels like you’re punished for killing the bosses and encouraged to avoid them • More ingame tutorial/tooltips on how the rooms interact with each other in terms of allowed placement & tier upgrades • Medallion rooms have no preview on tier upgrades, you won’t know until you place the room • Experienced some issues with strong monsters camping doors that will shotgun OHKO you Atlas Tree • Boss Atlas Tree has screwed me over 4 leagues in a row… A small amount of item quantity & rarity does not feel worth creating much stronger bosses that can kill you. It’s now commonplace to even despec this for fighting citadels. Lost a citadel recently because of this, not worth it Endgame + Atlas • I don’t mind the new tablet system, but irradiation becomes obligatory, always wasting a slot • Sometimes get locked out of mechanics if you can’t find a tablet you need, like expedition I did not get do very much this league • Maybe towers could provide specific types of tablets, or a choice upon looting it • A rare omen, or other item, to revive a failed citadel. Feels bad losing one in a cluster and needing to find a new cluster to complete the set • I don’t mind Zekoa (gorilla) existing as a boss you NEED to dodge, I like bosses that change the way you play, but having it possibly spawn in my map when doing the 3 stones mechanic makes me avoid it completely, not worth letting that guy in! • Chilled Ground / Temporal chains feel a bit oppressive with how common these mods are, not that they should be moved entirely. I worry making them more rewarding will backfire & make them obligatory • Azmeri Spirits feel underwhelming, I’ve never needed the socketables & they often imbue stuff I don’t want them to (like powerful essence monsters) Trials • All 4 leagues I have just done sekhemas, I actually really enjoy sekhemas • Chaos feels more hardcore, unless the reason for that is how much faster it can be cleared? Would like to run this more, but never feel the need or urge Gearing • Each league, around level 90 I experience what I imagine is “gear lock”. Maybe this is OK and it could be argued this is the end of the game • I wish there was some way to better analyze/organize a bunch of equipment pieces to find combinations that might be an upgrade, I wind up staring at 10 good rings for an hour with a paper & pencil trying to figure out if I can move anything around • At least for spells, +X to spell level feels too good to pass up, cursing you with mana issues, and this becomes the meta for dps. I did not feel this was an issue on Amazon, but very much so on my mage builds Skill Tree • I like the skill tree, don’t have any specific complaints, but welcome any changes Misc • More visual clarity would be nice, like a red outline on a boss that is obscured by effects. I played tornado ground effects this league, I can almost never see the boss and can only circle & dodge roll hoping its not doing something dangerous • Would love if map tab included a tablets section • Socketables tab would be great • Long shot, but just 1 more row of inventory space would be great. You want us to loot stuff and I’d like to be able to keep some items on my person for use, it gets a bit hairy • I would LOVE an MTX item that lets me generate a permanent cosmetic item from a unique. The current option forces you to redo the process if you get a new gear piece, which feel counterproductive. This also gives me a reason to collect unique I can’t even use Will keep updating with more, keep up the great work Last edited by Grymoire#4391 on Jan 9, 2026, 12:19:16 PM Last bumped on Jan 9, 2026, 12:18:39 PM
