Perhaps a bug about omen of whittliing and perfer chaos combination?

First time to use forum, no diea how to upload image here.. So I will just describe the problem.

I have a lv82 breach ring with 6 mods listd below:

Prefix:
+164 max mana - t2
add 1 to 39 lightning damage to attacks - t4
6% increased max mana - no tier

Suffix:
44% lightning resistance - t1
14 % fire and chaos resistance - t1 (abyss mod)
21% cast speed - t1

The thing is, I wanted to use omen of whittling combine with perfect chaos to change that t4 lightning damage to attack, but when I used combination, my t1 cast speed was gone and change to a t2 intelligence. Does this make any sense??

Whittling omen removes lowers mod level not tier

T1 cast is mod level 45
T4 adds lightning is mod level 54

Whitling omen would therefore target the cast speed

That's incredible. How could you possibly know that?

Yeah that makes sense now... Else the omen of whittling will be too strong. I will consider this as a tuition fee to pay lol. At least the new one is still usable.
