Being in a party makes my temple close without letting me add medallions

GGG, it is with great sadness that I come to you with this information. Normally, I clear the vaal temple, port out, and it takes me to the temple device. It is there that I can add medallions after the run, of course. Well for some odd reason, when my friend joins me in my temple, we clear it all, then port out to the device, it closes immediately before I can interact with it. I am not sure if this a bug, though I can't imagine it's an intended mechanic, so I have brought it to your attention.
