Bad implementation that should have an easy solution.
Controllers need more buttons for that.
Or they can just tone down the ludicrous stun from being lightly tapped while sprinting.

A separate keybind for dodge is definitely needed. Or at least make it double tap to enter sprint mode.

90% of the time I press that button I specifically want to dodge and NOT sprint.

It is especially bad with Blink, sprint activates like 95% of the time, it feels like one needs to write a script that releases the button after 50 milliseconds or something to make it usable.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if sprint was removed entirely. It just feels bad. Way worse than in any other game I ever played by a wide margin. It also feels like a band aid solution to slow traversal in PoE2's huge areas. There has to be a better solution.

You can have separate configurations for controller and keyboard/mouse. Controller support doesn't mean the whole game needs to suffer from consolitis.

I don't feel like this goes far enough. Even If I don't get stunned I often don't want to continue moving in the same direction after dodge at the first place, not even by the distance it takes to stop sprinting.
