Trial of chaos elevators

I'm certain its been reported quite a few times already but these things are obscenely bugged especially if it triggers by walking on it and you accidently move off of it why do these things not just auto reset with a button at the top and bottom to manually move them I just had to abort a trial just now and the other day I had to give the trial owner a teleport to the top of the elevator when it refused to go back down its a terrible feeling to waste ten minutes on nothing at the very least put invisible walls on the elevator when we step on it and it activates
