Cast on Crit stopped working (The Gem is now bricked!)

So I was blasting in a mapp when I noticed my spirit was above 100 (I have a total of 223) and there were no comets coming down anymore.

Opened my Skills panel and Cast on Crit was greyed out with the error (!) Cant use with the current weaponset, (Both weaponsets were checked).

During the trial/error phase I also got the error message Missing socketed Skill (Comet was socketed)

The bricked CoC Gem is level 21 corrupted

I tried all of the following and nothing helped:
Swapped weapons
Swapped weaponsets
Took out the CoC Gem and did a full re-socket
Tried with only Comet socketed
Tried Comet in all 5 sockets
Logged out to character selection
Relogged the game

What worked
Purchased a new test CoC Gem (lvl 17 just for testing) and put comet in it
Purchased a new level 21 CoC and replaced my old bricked one.

Note: There are no requirement issues for stats, that is not why the gem stopped working.

GGG you owe me 22 divs since I had to purchase a new one :p
I can trade it with you guys for 22 divs and you can run experiments on it :D


Has Anyone else experienced this?

I know this might sound stupid, but have you tried opening the gem details and re-checking the boxes for Weapon 1 and Weapon 2?

This happened to me with some Spirit gems — at some point the game automatically unchecked both weapons, and I couldn’t activate the gem no matter what I did.
I only noticed later that the checkboxes were off, and once I enabled them again, everything started working normally.

This also happens with cast on elemental ailment.

Also The unborn lich staff's skill keeps removing itself from the key bind whenever I teleport or die.

yep, same here build base on cast on crit,ailment ,minion dead so after invest couple of hours and div into its good for the garbage, cant understand why you dont finish the game and fix the game. it s most liklely the same each season stuff is bug and ha yeah you are in beta. most annoying then fun. the base game is good but player are leaving. maybe you should look for what are they leaving the game.
