Severe map crashes causing repeated loss of high-investment maps (Spring / Confluence)
|
Hello,
I’m writing to report a serious issue that started yesterday (January 7–8) and has become worse today. Since yesterday, I’ve been experiencing constant game crashes specifically during high-investment maps, especially Spring and Confluence maps. These are maps I intentionally save to run with expensive tablets, expecting a positive return. Today, every single map I ran crashed the game. When I log back in, the map is closed and marked as “map attempted”. If you look at my Atlas, you’ll see that all my Spring and Confluence maps are marked as attempted, and on each one I invested at least 7–8 Divine Orbs in tablets and map setup. The first 6 crashes today were frustrating but acceptable given early access — especially since the game had never crashed for me before. After another 3–4 crashes, I seriously considered quitting the league, but I kept going. Now, after three Spring maps in a row crashing, I have to stop playing entirely, because it simply makes no sense. At this point, it feels like throwing Divine Orbs into the trash. I would literally earn more by not playing and just selling what I have at the end of the league. This is extremely disappointing, because this is my favorite game by far. I spend more time on it than many professional streamers. I’ve been playing since Delirium league in PoE1 and I’ve never abandoned a league before — but in this state, it’s impossible to continue. Failing a map because of death is fine. But losing a map due to a game crash — especially when it happens constantly (9 maps out of 10) — is not acceptable. There needs to be a system that either: keeps the instance alive after a crash, or leaves at least one portal open when the client crashes. In the current state, high-investment mapping is simply not playable. Despite this, the league itself is fantastic, and I genuinely hope this issue can be addressed soon. Thank you for your time.
