Wyvern Movement and model rotation feel off/unresponsive

I'm playing through campaign using Wyvern, mainly rend and wing blast. I am using WASD keyboard controls, and the model rotation while trying to use wing blast feels a bit clunky. I understand each of the shape shifts needs a distinct feel, but there is something that feels off about the model rotation for Wyvern.

Unlike human character models the bear and wyvern will not swivel in place to follow your cursor, which makes sense since they are slower, plodding bodies and it gives them more weight. But when using a skill like Wing Blast, the Wyvern will also not turn to use the ability if the target primed for stun is directly behind you. The command is ignored, or oddly delayed until you turn or the enemy runs in front of your character. This creates clunky feeling situations where the character model feels unresponsive because you have to manually turn around to use your ability. Rend does not have the same issue. The Wyvern will turn in place to use Rend, but will seemingly not do the same for Wing Blast.
