Everything wrong with temple (in my opinion)
|
I thought i write down what i think is wrong with the temple.
- Explanations for Currency you can find in the temple. I just feels lacking. Yes you know it corrupts and replaces etc. But what are the results you can get? You have to go to POE2DB and look it up. That just feels so complicated. Put it in the game. - Explanation of how Temple itself works. What room connects to what room. What Medallions exist, how to get more crystal limit. Its not even explained that u can increase crystal limit. How to get more medallion limit. It just feels arbitrarily complicated. - Too many loading screens. - Rewards in the Temnple are weird. While the rewards you get in the Campaign are nice, they require some very insane grind for crystals in the campaign to really use temple for your advantage in the campaign. Thats also an issue becaue u can levle to 13 without leaving Clearfell. I tried that and it works really well. Wont be an issue in the next Legaue. Rewards in Lategame are a whole different story. Right now you have to do very specific things to make the Temple rewarding with raw Currency. You go wthrough the Temple and basically get nothing if u dont build a snake. In my opinion snakes should not exist and its probably gonna get fixed in the future. I dont think Temple should be played for raw currency. It should be played for the special currency you can find or for Atziri. - The time you need to invest in the Temple is to much. The way you get Crystals is not the right way i think. How to fix that i dont know, but i dont like the current way you get crystals. - The Temple has a leveling issue. Its always tied to your character level. In the future i think it would be better if its tied to you last completed Map Tier. Just like Doryani sells you maps in that way. Or sth. similar. Temple being tied to your own level feels weird. - Chests from the Circle are just useless. “The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame.” Last edited by Alzucard#2422 on Jan 6, 2026, 5:08:01 PM Last bumped on Jan 10, 2026, 10:18:50 PM

Another thing is backporting. You can simply leave the temple go back to your hideout or the city and afterwards go back to the temple and continue your run.
Why in the world do you backport into the temple start room and not your hideout. Its even useless to have that room it just exist to have the Temple console. Why the fuck make it so complicated. “The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame.” Last edited by Alzucard#2422 on Jan 6, 2026, 8:25:28 PM

" Right, it's just like in Act 3 where you have to go through the time portal every time for some reason. Feedback: 0.1 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3639607

When the mechanic is in every map on introduction I think it imprints a certain pace on players. The fact that people feel like it takes too long to build the temple is just going to get worse next league for those who still engage with it.
I know there will be an atlas tree with some node that increase this, but I'm sure you'll have to beat Atziri 4x to get your points. It's already a pain just to get to her once. But the other endgame content? I just get shards. |

Idk maybe it is me so unlucky but i can't build snake from scratch after recent temple updates(( - because almost each temple destabilization(default one - no architect, no atziri) just keeps deleting scake tail. And i have 20 rooms in the middle and 5 rooms in my snake with one spymaster. So i have feeling like devs just specificly targeting that building strategy(

I like the content, but there is definitely some improvements that need to be made. For one, it's just way too time consuming. They need to allow you to save your progress. It's also too cumbersome to move around in.
I would add checkpoints to every room and let you warp straight to your hideout and back in where you left the portal, instead of constantly having to backtrack through the area. Not sure if this is a bug, but sometimes the shrouded enemies stay shrouded permanently, and you can't target them or see how much life and/or mods they have. I would do away with that. It's more annoying than challenging having to back them into a corner while trying to point all your moves in the right direction. |

They could make the energy crystals tradable like splinters, those who want to blasting maps could sell it to those who want to build temple only
Exploit early exploit often bozos.
