WHY WE NEED THE LOCK BACK (or more room upgrade medallion drop)

i've played so many runs post hf14.

you CAN'T force diversity on players, ESPECIALLY without a sense of progression. when you cant progress anywhere further, diversity means shit. players needs a sense of progression over the effort they invest into. doesn't matter if it's snake, or whatever else they wanna build.

sense of progression is the ultimate difference between vaal temple and current end game mapping, and why vaal temple is so addictive, it's not about the loot. loot is important and can be encouraging but when you have all the gear you need it becomes pointless. you might be jealous of Fubgun but you dont wanna play like him, he quit every league when he gets bored within a month, sometimes two weeks.

right now after hf14, the sense of progression is lost, in every level. for new starters, for half temple set up players (like me, i can still print 10div per run but i dont care, i can build any further without having 4 necessary cards present at the same time, and every run becomes predictable and exhausting).

to fix this, you either roll back the lock, even make it possible for tier 2 rooms would be much better if not tier 1.

OR increase the drop rate of room upgrade medallion (right now very few rooms drop it, and alchemy has to be tier 1 and 2 to drop it, drop rate is lower than 5%, how can you even drop it without able to lock it?), and allow more other rooms or tier 3 rooms to drop this medallion.

mojority of players dont play like top streamers 24/7, some even only play at weekends. you take away their sense of progression, they simply quit. i know you probably plan for them to slow down and play 4 months to build up one temple. but in reality, that never works.

it really isn't about the loot. it's about growing.
