Early Access with seasons and ingame shop? What is going on?

Is this the new crude strategy in the gaming industry? I mean, yes, officially there are coming additional acts and characters but they putting effort and resources in seasonal content and in the really expensive ingame shop. They doing finetuning on the passives. The game is available for everybody and not just for a small player base which would be normal for an early access phase. I say it: the game is finished. But under the mantle of an early access game nobody can really complain for bugs. The game already has its player base. I don’t think by the time the game finally fully releases there will be a significant number of new players. No wonder. With an ESTIMATED release date in 2026 the game will had been 2 years in the early access phase. 2 years with frustrating bugs, a money draining ingame shop with a game which is already finished but not really but somehow it is.. I bought the early access supporter pack with promise that this game will be finished in Sommer 2025 which was half a year from the moment I bought it. A good deal. One year later they say it will be still a year till release (but no official release date - could be even longer). Bad deal…

To me it looks like leagues are here for GGG to test if they are able to release them in both games in some at least digestive form and it's pretty obvious to be at this point they are not. As much as I like current league I must admit it's kinda mess and it's filled with various bugs.
