Guild MTX Between PoE 1 and PoE 2 Is Confusing, Irreversible, and Poorly Designed

I want to bring up an issue with how guild MTX donations work between Path of Exile 1 and Path of Exile 2, because the current setup is extremely unclear and poorly designed from a user and customer standpoint.

What happened is simple. I donated MTX from my account through the website, intending it for a PoE 2 guild. The site does not clearly separate PoE 1 and PoE 2 guilds, does not warn that the action is permanent, and does not give any confirmation or review step. As guild leader, the donation was auto accepted. There was no pending state, no option to deny, and no indication that this could never be fixed.

Once that happens, support confirmed there is absolutely no way to move, transfer, or undo the MTX, no matter how much I pleaded. It does not matter that I am the guild leader, that the guild is unused, that the MTX was never placed, or that I do not even play PoE 1. It is permanently stuck. I don't care for a refund even, I simply want the MTX transferred to the PoE 2 guild that I also am the guild leader of.

I understand that I made the mistake. I am not denying that. But the system makes it very easy to make that mistake and gives you zero chance to recover from it. That is the real issue.

I have spent a lot on PoE 2 supporter packs and mystery boxes, and I was genuinely looking forward to setting up a guild hideout. I primarily play co op with two friends every league, and the guild hideout was something I was excited to build and use together. Losing access to that because of a confusing website flow and missing warnings feels pretty awful.

The PoE 1 and PoE 2 websites, accounts, MTX, and supporter packs are all tied together, but the guild MTX system is not clearly separated at all. There is no clear PoE 1 vs PoE 2 distinction, no irreversible action warning, and no confirmation step. For something that can involve hundreds of dollars, that is just bad UX.

This is not about asking for free stuff or special treatment. It is about the fact that a single misclick can permanently lock expensive MTX with no warning and no support solution. That should not be acceptable.

At a minimum this needs clear labeling, explicit warnings, and a confirmation step. Ideally there should also be some kind of support assisted fix for unused MTX. As it stands now, the system is misleading and very poorly thought out.

I'm very frustrated...

Hi! Could you please contact us at support@grindinggear.com and we'll be able to provide you with some additional information.
I've sent an email, take your time, thank you.
I contacted support as requested and provided the full email thread and verification. The response was exactly the same as before. No attempt to help, no escalation, no solution.

There is zero willingness from GGG to fix this, even when the guild is unused, the MTX was never placed, and the intent was clearly for PoE 2.

The PoE 1 and PoE 2 websites do not clearly separate guilds. There is no irreversible action warning. There is no confirmation step. As guild leader, the donation auto-accepts. One click permanently locks paid MTX with no recovery and no support path.

I’m not going to continue supporting a system where a simple UI mistake can permanently waste real money and support’s only response is “sorry, nothing we can do.” This experience has completely killed my desire to spend further on PoE 2. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because the current guild MTX system and website flow are genuinely damaging to player trust.

I’m posting this so other players are aware, and because this is something that really needs to change.
