Almost 1000 hours in - I think I’m done

That’s it, I just can’t do it any more. Maybe it’s just this league, maybe I’m burnt out, or maybe I have just reached the end of my time with POE… I’m not sure. What I sure of, at least for this season is that I just can’t stomach a new character with how long the campaign is.
I have 7 level 90+ characters… @GGG do you really think this is a good business model? A game with a difficulty curve that swings SOOO much between players based on character types and if they get a lucky weapon drop early? Or do you REALLY expect me to run ED/C every 3-4 months so I can even hear a new character for a goi experience? Are you intentionally designing a game to only have 2 different players bases, where either you’re meta and melt mobs, or getting killed by white mobs because I have to use a standard attack for the ENTIRE first act? Are you intentionally making this a frustrating experience? @ggg if you’re don’t do something about this soon you’re going to start to lose an important segment of your player base. You know, those middle aged dads who pour hundreds of dollars per season into BS cosmetics, work demanding careers and enjoy a challenge. Those gamer dads will also snap out of it and ask themselves why they would bother doing the same game, over and over and over again. So, guess who didn’t buy any supporter packs, this time around and the next league, will also have a later start to see if you actually made meaningful progress to the game you said would be fully completed by now? I don't think you need to run ED+C every league start to have a positive league start experience. There's actually quite a few options, and the campaign feels pretty well rounded.
(I have many endgame chars) I will say they do need to work on endgame mapping not being a super boom speed fest and to feel more like the campaign where you can navigate the combat better.. and the loot needs an adjustment -- there's no reason there should be so much garbage loot you filter out 99% of it as a baseline. |

Thanks for the reply. Respectfully, I have to disagree
There is not a single character I have tried that comes close to the witch in early act 1/2. It’s almost laughable when you compare a fresh witch to anything melee. You can carry the entire game with three skills on a witch, vs a monk staff user that will use a basic attack through at least level 15. This entire game has completely over rotated on difficulty especially early in the game. NO one and I repeat NO one wants to struggle to kill white mobs in the fist zone. But to be direct, your comment had nothing to do with my entire point that I am not sinking 30 hours every 3-4 months to literally RUN through the campaign, again, on the same character. Add that to Bs trials, limited to no real character builds outside of cookie cutter pre-builts, an unhealthy obsession with lighting and bows Jonathan needs to go |

"Are you intentionally making this a frustrating experience?"
I think so. I have been a fanboy of this game, it's a love hate relationship because I wish it was actually fun, but it's just been a tormenting abuse of my addictive brain. Edit: I should add I'm close to 1300hrs on my Playstation 5, I also bought the game for Xbox, tried to make an aura buddy and I still can't find good loot, survive, or progress in endgame passed a certain point every league. Monk is painful early game. It looked like Talisman was a step in the right direction with the basic attack being foundational and scalable early game.
This patch did have improvements for the AoE range on whirling assault. It was nice to see. I’ve also played EDC and while fast and easy, it is (to me) incredibly boring. |

Sekhemas kills it for me. I like the game, I want to love the game, but I absolutely for the life of me cant f'n STAND Sekhemas. I think its an absolutely stupid trial in the game.

Bro thinks playing a game for a 1,000 hours is somehow supporting his position. If you can get a 1,000 hours on any game that means the game is good
