Two games, both with dead leagues. Feature bloat got to GGG.

Next content update is long way away.
Players of both games are unhappy.

I think this is where GGG needs to dial down. This 2-month cadence is clearly unsustainable and we end up with terrible leagues that drop dead after 3 weeks rather than 8-10 weeks (like many POE1 leagues in 2021-2023)

POE1 promised to shake up endgame in a big way, and we got 11th league in a row with the same old atlas tree with no chances except a global map-modifier nerf. Yippie, fun fun fun.

POE2 should focus on building the foundation. Classes, ascendancies, item types, skill gems. Not endgame league mechanics yet. You can do those on POE1 and then port them over if they are good.

SteamCharts shows 118,000 playing right now on the Steam client. This might be the most contentious league ever (and there are plenty of problems), but, objectively, the player base likes the league.

Honestly, the problem isn't the league duration or the league cycle, or even their focus on PoE1 or PoE2. It's just that GGG's actions are terrible. Notice how PoE1 and PoE2 have been performing poorly for the last two leagues each, and we all know who's responsible. He's destroying everything that's fun and the loot with his hostile actions. Look at the reviews on their Steam page. There are over 400 negative reviews just today. [Removed by Support] Jonathan doesn't seem to care much since he sold his shares...

Dude This last league had 150k players and currently right now over a 100k and that is just steam. Stop living in fantasy land when it comes to your feelings of the game. The playerbase overwhelmingly enjoys the content. Get off reddit

Because there's no alternative. LE is dead. D4 Trash They ruined the PoE1 league. And this is all that's left... If there were an alternative, you'd definitely be playing with 20,000 players. Check their Steam page...

I have and over 100k were playing today. Steam is a small percentage. GGG has 10+ years under the belt of making a really good game (POE 1). People need to chill out and let them cook.
