Whiners generation

At start they whined that temple where unrewarding, so many tears, threads, someone where quit

Then they whine for so called "holten exploit" (exploit in fragile karens mind only), tons of threads, someone quit etc

Now we have dozens of threads about temple nerf, someone quitting again, disappointed etc

Jesus Christ!

POE2 - is non-competitive 99% solo PVE game, could you just quit whining and start playing?

POE2 is not even finished, jeez!
Auctioneer House - is a MUST!
'POE2' is not 'POE1 2.0'! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3614313

dont listen to these crybabies - poe2 is already too fast and too simple.

just play the game in your speed.
just read the item tooltips, make mistakes and learn from them.

you dont want this? ok, go and play hello kitty online easy mode.
poe2 is nothing for you.
Well obviously the whiners were wrong.

It wasn't that the temple was unrewarding, it was that it was annoying and had bad game mechanics conveyance.

And it does snowball, there is that element that because a lot of "whiners" said it was crap that others simply believed them and ignored it, I was one of those people who despite getting great rewards just believe the community.

The truth is in the middle, it was 90% a great mechanic and could have been so much fun and something we all had fun memories of.

But per usual GGG made the mechanic overly complex with weird ultra frustrating BS that didn't need to be there, and then those mechanics sounded through player conversation.

It's not fair to GGG, but the community is short attention span, and they don't want to have to work too hard for fun mechanics in the game. On second thought, that's not necessarily on the community either.

GGG should be allowed to make mechanics as they see fit, that fulfill the game they want to make, but they do have a responsiblity to make this game fun for hte majoreity of players.

For too long GGG has made these punishing and furstrating mechanics front and center and maybe it could have worked, maybe if they had doubled down on it it might have eventually worked out.

But I think at this point we can agree that this notion of ultra punishing ARPG with those super frustrating win lose situations has been an abject failure and patch after patch, league after league we are watchig in real time that players don't like being treated like a lower class to service some ultra hardcore subset of players.

People want to have fun in an ARPG, be reawrded, and find good loot right off teh ground.

They don't want to have to hit massive roadblocks that gets in the way of that fun.

For some uber cool looking cosmetic, some title in their character name, those should be the rewards for these higher end things.

People HATE playing a video game, simply to be a benchmark for how much more powerful power farmers and exploiters are.

What??? I know for sure that's going to happen, and I don't mind it at all. I would have to either stop working, stop working out, or have no other hobbies, if I wanted to ladder in the top 200. Maybe someone more skilled would need to put in less time, but realistically that's where I'm at.

Maybe you, personally, need to feel as though you are ahead of other people. But that doesn't sound the same as having fun to me.

And to those saying the game is too easy already, I actually agree.

Much of the design isn't working. I found the entire game too easy till i got to late game, and now i'm frustrated that the entire economy is broken and I'm "late" to the economy and just pretty much playing from behind.

The tempo is off, the rewards are too spastic, the power progression is way too erratic and hard to balance around.

The game desperately needs more linear power growth so difficulty can be raised and power can be farmed to overcome this raising difficulty.

Trade totally F's this up.

Item power randomness totally F's this up.

So much of this game is broken because of the absolute massive randomness of loot and crafting. It haunts the entire lifecycle of play, from beginning to end game.

The frictio of builds and play isn't even playing the game any more, it's just going to the auction house, and doing these long pain in the bum stat lookups and build arrangements.

It's the same puzzle over and over again and it gets old so fast. Managing those same max resists getting those same skill gems, every little change affects your whole build and there are so many options available ot you at all times it's just OVERWHELMING just to do a competent build with all the crap GGG throws at your face.

I don't know if the game can reach it's potential at this point. There is too much investment into this massively huge gem and talent system and there's so much design bloat.

Every aspect of this game should be reduced in complexity by 50% and rare no trade modifiers for items and gems should create the complexity, greatly cutting down on all the growing pains and power spikes.

Just so tired of being in that exact same position where at any moment we're maxing the same resists, trading with that same gahdawful trade menu with the annoying inputs for each stat and just sucking all the life out of playing the game and sucking all the fun out of farming for cool new items.

They put SO MUCH damn work into making this game anti fun.

I mean, you CAN enjoy this game. If you tune out the world. If you play solo self found, if you can lobotomize yourself and remove the knowledge of how broken this game is in its default state, sure you can have fun.

And that is absolutely bonkers, because it just goes to show how far out of their way GGG has gone to f*ck this entire thing up with trade.
Guess we know who's been abusing the "feature" :))

Don't scapegoat me as some kind of jealous doucher.

I'm not saying I need to be in the top 1% to enjoy a game.

I'm saying that GGG goes out of their way to cater to an incredibly small % of their player base with each and every single decision they make with the game.

People aren't upset that the game is rewarding to better play and strategy, they're upset that so much of GGG's development goes into artificially broadening that gap beyond all reasonable expectation.

GGG's responsiblity as game designers as many of us see it is to maximize the fun of their game for the greatest number of their players, even if many of those players are whiney and petulant and cringe.

It's not GGG's intentions to rub players' noses in dirt and create these huge power discrepencies that destroys the exxperience for so many players.

That doesn't change the fact that this is exactly what they are doing and have done patch after patch and league after league since the games inception.

^ This right here. People quickly forget the only important metric is "Am I having fun?". If you are keep playing. If you are not...move to another game.
