Network Latency
|
I can only play the game for 2-3 hours before my game just stops working, and by this I mean when I press F1 to see my ping and other stats the "network" jumps from 20ms to 2k+ and rubber bands for 10 mins before it got to 10k+ and I am forced to exit the game because I cant move. During this I can still hit escape and go back to the start menu fine but it will happen again shortly. The only way ive gotten around this is just stop playing for the night and play the next day which is fine til it happens again.
Also to note that in the F1 screen everything else is fine except the network. What is going on and how do I fix? I jumped on today to play and I can only play for 10-15 mins before the network ping jumps up to 600+ and I cant play without watching a slide show. Also, its only PoE2 that does this, I have zero problems on any other game. Last bumped on Feb 9, 2026, 11:39:09 AM

Little update.
If I am in any zone for more then 10-15 mins my network ping jumps up, if I change to a new zone the ping drops back down to 20-30ms |

This is unplayable for me right now.
Ping jumps from 9ms to 20.000 ms at least twice a minute... meaning I can control my toon for about 1/3rd of the time. Died 20+ times, trying to get a temple finished because of this. Hope we will at least get an official word on an estimated timeline here. Hate always online gaming nowadays. Really. :-( |

The issue seems to still not be adressed, what a shame to ruin a great game like that ...

I am facing the same problem. Latency is nice for some time (around 20ms)
Then suddenly there is a Latency spike up to 60 seconds and more. I tried to just kill the client, wait some minutes, then restart the client and that seems to help. After all I heard its healthy to have a break during gaming sessions. But it shouldnt be forced like that ;) |

Have you played around with swapping to and from lockstep and predictive to seeif it changes at all? Also, might just be my specific issues, but I use ExitLag which has helped a ton. Also, even though it recommends Washington DC for me, I normally connect to the East Canada sever in the login screen for POE.
