Why isn't Vaal Temple and its unlocks account-wide?

Now that the thing has been "fixed" i started building my temple on my witch, and when i switched to my sorceress to see how it felt with a different build i found out that Vaal Temples are character based, so if you want to try a new character you're starting your temple from zero..

My question is, why is this a thing? you can't expect players to farm 60 crystals and fight against room rng everytime they want to try a new build when the league mechanic is this rng heavy

It's like resetting people's atlas progress everytime they reroll but with layers of rng on top

my personal opinion is that ggg intended the temples to be farmed differently by different characters.

one character would farm the architect and atziri repeatedly.

another character will farm the temple without touching the architect and atziri.

I can live with the temples being character exclusive, but the energized crystals being character exclusive is a joke.
Cant swap to alts to farm maps to then farm temples on main is ludicrous.

I hope they fix this in the future.
