Question about the genesis tree/ancient wombgifts
|
Does anyone know what exactly the "recessive genes" node does for ancient grafts?
I am trying to hunt the double foulborn embalmer and I figured that this meant rarity in terms of unique tier. I decided to skip using it. I see sooo many duplicates of t4 and t3 gloves and I have only ever seen 2 embalmers (this is with over 200 ancient wombgifts used. I even did 50 with a lower ilvl to remove somw extra items from the pool). Does this mean some other rarity that has to do with foulborns specifically? Also, I tried a small batch with the node active and just saw more non-gloves. I've confirmed the issue isnt with my filter as I check all ground loot when I do the tree, and test dropped wole foulborn embalmers and they show up. Also, I ofc have limited strength, increased dex/int, increased gloves, increased foulborn etc. Last bumped on Jan 4, 2026, 12:16:17 PM

"I dont. "Also what I would have guessed. "Likely good idea. "Embalmer is T5 according to wiki so I dont understand why you would want to use "recessive genes" in the first place. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

I got desperate at some point and figured maybe I was missing something about what recessive genes was actually doing.

Going through it right now. They can either be considered high tier because they essentially have the same mod as the t0 dagger, or foulborn base drop rarity is higher by default. What I mean by the latter, is that very common starts at t3/t4. It would make sense or t0 foulborns wouldn't exist.
Curious if you did any more testing and what those results were. |

I threw a pair of 1 mod embalmers as well as the other gloves ive been seeing in with Rog to disenchant and saw that the embalmers were worth a little over 10k dust while most of the gloves I had been seeing were worth less.
So I put on the recessive genes node and like 100 more drops and got a single mod embalmers. This is just looking crazy rare =/ |
