Playing Poe2on PS5 is a challenge because...

You should finally get serious about optimizing and stabilizing gameplay on PlayStation 5. The game has serious problems when it comes to stable connection to servers.
I tested several independent internet connections, used other neighbors' networks, a fiber optic connection, a 4G and 5G router. So it's the internet's fault? Not really, because I don't have that problem when playing POE. Build these servers or whatever is responsible for the smooth gameplay. I can't have a situation where I'm playing and the lack of smoothness is hindering my ability to play. Please, check this problem. My connection usually doesn't exceed 50ms, but sometimes it drops even if it's 1500ms Last bumped on Jan 16, 2026, 10:50:12 AM

I honestly wonder if the guys at Greedy Gold Goblin have ever played a melee fighter with a controller themselves, especially fights like the ones against Zelin and Zolina... the targeting is just terrible.

Performance and connection issues has been on going for months yet GGG is unable to fix it. Patch after patch they claim to have improve on it yet its nothing but bs. The supporter packs seem to be improving though. When players starts to lose patience, gets frustrated and start to curse, GGG will remove the comment and put the account user on probation citing forum guidelines. Yeah its a standard cowardly move by people with no accountability.

The issues already were present in PoE1 and on PC.
So this not working on PoE2 and on console is no ones surprise. There will be no helping as long as the funds are coming in, and be this by design of the much too small chest once one wants to play mapping - heck even getting to this state of gameplay is pointless with the ongoing FPS related performance issues. |

The lag spikes on console are horrible. I'm trying different European servers and the game is unplayable in the evening CET.

" PoE2 is a server authoritative game and as such, internet plays the ultimate role, optimal conditions should be bellow 45/50ms... But here's the thing, you can't blame PoE when it works for some and not for others, because the performance will depend from your infrastructure to your ISP infrastructure as well, it uses UDP which provides no packet correction, and overall you can't make claims as you do without providing receipts to support them, so providing a pcap with some traffic capture, some traceroutes, etc... It has zero value. It can be a BGP problem from your ISP, it can be a network equipment caching issue, it can be pretty much anything... Your best option to fix this would be contacting your ISP and telling them you have problems (explain problems) with the connection to X or Y IPs and ask them to troubleshoot it, check their (often crappy) BGP configurations and check their networks, instead of throwing claims without any evidence to support them. Backend problems it's something that is quite noticeable from network problems... Its easier for your ISP to diagnose the issue than from GGG side 🤣 |
