[Feedback] Improve Campaign Longevity: Add Cruel Difficulty Mode

I would like to suggest to GGG to add Cruel difficulty mode in Patch 0.5.0 for extra challenge and adds replayability value for the campaign. I liked the difficulty when the game first released. At Character Selection, players would select between Normal or Cruel difficulty. A Cruel character can only be created on initial character creation and in a separate League. Cruel difficulty can be enabled with SSF and Hardcore. To clarify, you play the campaign only once, either on Normal or Cruel (not both).

Campaign (Normal)
* Recommended: Newer players seeking story
* Monsters & Bosses: Standard
* Resist Penalty: None
* Death Penalty: None

Campaign (Cruel)
* Recommended: Experienced players seeking challenge
* Monsters & Bosses: Monsters and bosses more difficult, receive flat 25% health increase
* Resist Penalty: Permanent -5% all resistance penalty will cumulatively apply after each act
* Death Penalty: 10% XP loss on death (endgame maps)

i like the idea of campain to be replayed instead of this flat-boring spaces called end-game maps.. all of them are so null and flat scapes.

I wish for waystones to be used on campain map zones
NG+ for me please

Agreed. I think adding another difficulty to the campaign would add a lot of replay value.

I would looove for a NG+ or Cruel mode. Climbing higher difficulties is my favorite way for games to add replay value.

Maybe Waystones and Tablets could be applied to Campaign areas, even!

Yeah, it's fun playing higher difficulties in Diablo 2 and would work well in PoE2. I also think they could remove the death penalty in normal difficulty and keep it for cruel difficulty.

This seems like a win-win for everyone.

Hell NO, strongly against it, the campaign iself should be optional and the least thing it needs is to be forced to repeat this CRAP again, as it was in 0.1

Want challenge - play MAPS! they are mentioned for this.
Auctioneer House - is a MUST!
'POE2' is not 'POE1 2.0'! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3614313

What are you taking about? I think you are misunderstanding my suggestion.

Cruel difficulty is completely optional and you play the campaign only once, either on Normal or Cruel (not both)!

They just removed this because people got sick of it.

Further, they should remove the campaign all toghether.

What? Bad idea. The campaign is the best part of the game.
