[Xbox] let us link items from our inventory to the trade market.
|
For clarification just like I can link an item to chat I want to link an item to the trade market with its specific stat expressions numerically intact this would allow me to price check my unieques. Most of what I want exists in the "filter item by stats" function from the trade site just make it grab my exact numerical values on top of the affixes it normally grabs and let me refer an item from my inventory directly to the trade market so I can price check gear. If selling my gear were half as easy as buying gear I might pick up more loot, might roll more gear, and would definitely be about a day or 3 ahead in currency if where I currently am.
I'm having a great time with druid but this end game revision I'm planning requires replacing 5 pieces of gear at once and about 5 ex my total currency at this right I've got 6 days of grinding for loot ahead of me or I can spend five days trying to sell complex gear and mapping, if I had a price check I'd have the currency I need in 3 days or less and the next character or league would take even less time because the efficiency improvement of my market interactions would scale with my learning values on gear. it's at this stage of a league I and my other console friends often want to quit, or better phrased: Fidily awful data entry via controller makes us lose the will to continue rapidly; console player retention would pick up by like a quarter if you just gave us this. Hell, the reason I almost never run a second character is the depression caused by soulless unpaid data entry work, it takes about four months and a couple of trailers to forget this state of anguish, I'm begining to realize I have a short memory. The skill gap on console is literally based on individual tolerance for data entry work. The user experience of controller data entry is a farcical hell not even Satan would have witingly devised. I have an atziris disdain, this was valuable in a previous league... what's it worth now? Three options: Option 1: Check in game and hope you never misclick anywhere or you have to start over from scratch, I tried it once, retched, cried, vomited and passed out, I died. You can't look at your inventory because you lose all your work inputting data to try to find a similar item, the soluti9n is to use your phone to take a picture of the item and squint at ot every 10 seconds, not to mention turning the phone on and off and unlocking it every other time you need it. This was the hell I was sent to after I died. Option 2: Use the built in web browser, your television swaps in and out of game mode each time you swap apps, so every time you go back to check affix phrasing or exact numbers you've got a black screen and no audio for like 2-4 seconds before you can figure out if you got disconected or if the browser crashed and then immediately another black screen when you switch back, and by God this is only remotely tolerable because I own a wireless keyboard but trying to check more than two unique items I'm unlikely to get more than 1 ex from makes me contemplate my life choices in a similarly melodramatic fashion to the way I've written this post, will to keep playing? How about the will to live? this makes me too sad to watch anime and goon, I just sleep and cry. Option 3: use your phone, it's objectively the best option but there is a reason nobody is jumping to swap their data entry teams to mobiles with touchscreens for a reason. Do you want to type exact affixes and exact numbers on all 70 uniques you've picked up since acts? How about all the trash that you picked up in the last 20 maps? Keep pushing that off and you'll have to either dump it all and risk losing value or just give up because this bossfight is more mentally taxing than any Uber and less interesting than digging out an impacted toenail with a pocket knife and about a tenth as rewarding. Console players don't care about drops because you are giving them paperwork to fillout each time. Doing my taxes is easier than cleaning my stash and pricechecking gear for sale. Buying gear via trade market is a great experience BTW you guys have done a great job improving this. The reward is also immediate. If this isn't as simple to implement as it looks to me I don't know how much of the old poe1 API is functional with poe2 or not but if somehow a way to view your stash tabs and their contents from the web could be implemented then I'm sure a third party could solve this issue for us, if this sounds abstract destiny 2 had a function where you could view and organize your gear and stash from mobile apps and web browsers because the game was well integrated with an API. I'm going to drown myself in a tin of caramel popcorn as is tradition and continue to neglect my videogame chores. -MERRY CHRISTMAS Last bumped on Dec 24, 2025, 8:08:25 PM
