[Feedback] Acoyote of Chayula, Chronomancer & Gemling Legionnaire

Ascendancies in 0.4 are alot more balanced, but Acoyote of Chayula, Chronomancer and Gemling Legionnaire are still struggling. These ascendancies in particular are in desperate need for significant buffs in 0.5 to make them competitive.

The Blood Mage and Stormweaver are the same Ascendancy.
One says Elemental Damage contributes to Bleed Chance. and the other says Elemental Damage contributes to Shock Chance/Freeze Chance. Bleed is Damage over time, Freeze solidifies an enemy so you can hit them more, and Shock makes you do more damage so they all have the same concept, do more. Elemental conversion isnt being used by anyone things like three dragons and painters gloves need to be gems in poe 2, because every skill mechanic is tied to its element, i cant have shards of ice come off my enemy if i convert the damage to fire. Uniques like Sire of Shards are downright useless because of support gems. https://imgur.com/a/GP2rciQ

" As someone who has played Chronomancer for 3 months this season, I wouldn't say the ascendency is struggling at all. It could be more that people don't know how to play into its strengths, slows, +skill duration, fast casting, and Time Freeze. Can easily wipe the single player game and with Time Freeze and Trivialize pinnacle bosses, uber arbiter. You can wreck a 70 room temple, and you don't need to be playing an expensive broken CoC build to do it. They do need to fix Apex of the moment, and I would say that several of the ascendency passives related to cooldowns are pointless. Unless the game gets changed to where some fights last longer than 5 seconds, there's also zero use for inevitable agony. Some minor tweaks would be nice, but the ascendency is otherwise fine. Time Freeze, Quicksand Hourglass are great, and Apex of the moment would be if they would ever fix it (granted it may be working, but the debuff does not display on mobs so there's some issue with it). |

" Well i played chrono this league too. Wanted to do this earlier but low pickrate scared me it`s gonna be really tough and it wasn`t anything like that. Chrono is definitely playable, heck it was most fun i had with poe2. However there are two problems with this ascendancy. 1 - it is too defence oriented for arpg like that. Among damage scalers we have unplayable agony and sands that are not consistent at all. Compared to other ascendancies it is literally no match if we talk about somewhat competitive league approach. It even struggles on hc. 2 - seeing how other ascendancies are designed, chrono clearly lacks some polish. Some nodes scream they`re unfinished or not in final form. When You read some feedback from thread i linked above, some problems seem to have obvious fixes. |

" I read that thread a few days ago, some good ideas in there for how to fix or change the weak/useless Chrono ascendency passives. I responded in the thread a few days back too with thoughts that no dev will ever read I'm sure. I still can't say the ascendency is 'struggling' or 'in desperate need of buffs' when I'm playing a projectile attack home brew build and the game is easy mode (or completely trivial and barely fun mode with Headhunter). I could use another ascendency to unnecessarily boost dps, but I'd hate to lose Time Freeze. Do they need to fix or make slight adjustments to some of the not useful at all ascendency passives? sure. Would Chronomancer have more of a purpose if the endgame actually had long fights where debuffs or faster cooldowns or defensive gameplay actually mattered? Probably. Guess what I'm saying is I'd rather they fixed general gameplay balance issues before tweaking Chronomancer to give it more DPS because other ascendancies kill things 10 times over. |
