Rare mob abilities that should not be stacked & Exp loss in the late game.

I want to start off by saying that I am really enjoying the game; that being said, there are a few things that I feel could make the game better, one of which is rare mob abilities that can be paired into a terrible combination.
-I feel that there is a specific combination of rare mob abilities that should not appear at the same time: i.e., proximital intangibility WITH a mana burn aura, and shroud walker WITH that abyss green freeze beam foolishness (sometimes they teleport mid-cast somehow, and you have no ability to react; honestly, why does this ability chill/freeze anyway? lol). I think that there needs to be longer CDs on some of the crazy abilities. I enjoy a hard game, don't get me wrong, but there is a difference between difficult and straight-up unfair and unfun. Mechanics like this NEED to be reactable to be fun while retaining the difficulty.
-Also please PLEASE!!! REMOVE or severely nerf death exp loss HOLY CRAP! Losing 2-3 hours of my life in the late game for one death when one-shots are EVERYWHERE and often hidden beneath ground/screen clutter is horrid. You can have one-shots, or you can have harsh death penalties, but you should not have BOTH; you already lose your map when you die this way. I would happily fight bosses and rares with triple the HP if it meant I didn't lose so much exp on death.
If you want to keep the hardcore aspect of exp loss, maybe allow hardcore or SSF characters to take the risk on their own volition and incentivize it with higher drop rates, exp, or whatever. *OR temporarily disable the exp death penalty until you are able to get the visual clarity situation under control (just spit-balling ideas at this point).

Agreed, exp loss is garbage and serves little to no purpose other than not respecting players time. The least they could do is to do like other arpgs where you can pick up your corpse to regain some of the lost exp from a death (like in Grim Dawn, most Diablo games etc).

You're already punished for dying by potentially losing out on a map or if you die to a boss, all the map events. Get rid of exp loss already or make it way easier to reach max lvl. I've almost 900 hours in the game and my highest lvl character from 0.1 only ever reached 97 because it was simple just not worth trying to go higher with how much of a slog and pain it was to reach those higher levels. And to anyone who says "yOu DoNt NeEd To ReAch MaX lEvEl"....please stfu. There are no leaderboards or competition on who reaches lvl 100 first and stop caring how others play a game that is 100% PvE, it doesn't affect you negative if more people have a good time with the game (and honestly, unless you play ssf it's not really that cool anyway who gets lvl 100 first). Having the current design preventing the average player to reach max lvl is simply garbage and should go.
100% agree on all of that; dying should feel bad in the moment, not leave a crippling misery that lasts... The way it is set up now just leaves me with this pit in the bottom of my stomach because I know that my map is gone along with several hours. It needs to change!
It's insane that they still have xp loss in the game, when even their inspirations, such as Diablo and the Souls games let you have a chance to reclaim the lost xp, but here it is just straight up gone, time wasted.
