Severe Stuttering on High-End PC – Completely Ruins the Experience
|
I honestly do not understand how a paid game can ship in this state.
I am experiencing constant stuttering, freezes, and micro-freezes, making the game almost unplayable, despite running it on high-end hardware: GPU: RTX 5070Ti 16GB CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 MHz Storage: NVMe SSD With this setup, the game feels like I am playing on a Pentium 4, not a modern gaming PC. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have tried everything: Shader cache increase Switching engines (Vulkan / DX12) Network mode (Predictive, Lockstep, etc.) Clearing caches Tweaking config files Memory leak fixes suggested across forums Driver optimizations Windows and BIOS optimizations At this point, I spend 2 hours debugging the game every day just to be able to play it, instead of enjoying it. That is not normal, and it is definitely not acceptable for a modern ARPG. How am I supposed to enjoy the game when it stutters constantly during combat, loading areas, or even simple movement? What makes it worse is that the entire internet and official forums are full of performance and stuttering complaints. This is clearly not an isolated issue. Please, take this seriously. This level of performance problems in a contemporary, paid game is extremely disappointing. I really want to enjoy Path of Exile 2, but right now the technical state of the game is ruining the experience completely. Please fix your game. Last bumped on Dec 24, 2025, 11:40:48 AM

I feel you, man. They really broke the game with 0.4... stuttering, crashes... It's so bad right now and I only get frustrated instead of enjoying.

have you looked at the internet?
i suggest to play the game with the graphs on, record a few maps worth of gameplay then look at the server ping. if its jumping up and down then you are getting jitter on your internet which poe doesnt like at all. Could be you have to lower your MTU to get a stable ping which will make all the difference. Also nothing on here if your playing wired or wireless, if your wireless then u need to go wired. Again poe doesnt like wireless as it adds jitter from the wifi connection. |

Thanks for the answers. I play wired. I have very good connection.
First time hearing about MTU. That i didnt try. The game is awesome.. and i want to enjoy it smooth as i can get it.. this stutters is like a water drop tortue. speed test shows: 587 MBPS download, 391 mpbs upload.. |

Currently i deleted the game, deleted documents folder, delited regitry about the game, deleted app data stuff.. everything POE2 related.. Downlaoded it fresh again.. Didnt Chance a single settings.. in game or launch options.. and it works fine ATM. Last time i did this.. after 3 days.. it got worse again.. So POE check this.. i would love not to download fresh install every 3 days. Thanks.

" upload and download dont matter, you could be using 1MB up and down and the game would work. you need to test the jitter, run a speed test that also does that. You can also run a command prompt on a pc/laptop to do a tracert too GGG servers to see if you have jitter to them. Also looking back at the post you didnt say if you tried different servers in the game? if your on London for example you could change it to Amsterdam which could also fix the issue. |
