Deadlock detected

Playing with my friend, he's the sorcerer new ascendancy. Running maps with him and 3 other people will crash my game and anyone playing with him. He's the only one who won't crash. Every time the game locks up for a few seconds, then an error pops up saying deadlock detected. Has anyone else come across this? When he gets on his witch Hunter, we can play just fine together.
