Game using 15 GB of ram

My pc goes from using 13 GB of ram to using 28 GB of ram when I start the game and stand in my hideout. That's an increase of 15 GB, but it says that the "process" only uses around 5893 MB, so where is the other 9000 MB going when running the game?
